Fossils can remind people that body composition is partly made up of minerals that, under certain conditions, can lead to a fossilized end. The hand that cradles the fossil is just as densely entangled in the geologic and only appears as a thing when it is abstracted out of its entanglements. The idea of the Anthropocene was developed only in the last twenty years. Yet, it refers to the time starting with the Industrial Revolution in Britain in which human influence became the dominant aspect of the planetary situation. Scientists have created models and timetables that demonstrate how industrialization has affected the wild. Objects in this section include creative “future fossils”, physical fossils and petrified wood and stones with stories. In addition, some books in this section were contributed by reading lists from artists Paul Harris and Oliver Kellhammer.
